I'm Kudzayi. I help brands find their unique voice and space in competitive markets. My approach is a blend of strategist and storyteller, with a slight obsession for beautiful design and impactful experiences.

 

My work spans from managing multi-brand portfolios in the CPG world to leading marketing initiatives across both established and emerging markets. My passion for education inspired me to pursue a career in academia, where I have the opportunity to nurture talent and cultivate a culture of innovation through academic leadership. What drives me is finding that sweet spot where authentic brand experience meets real business growth, whether I'm working with corporate teams or in academia.

I've spent my career navigating digital transformation and innovation while building partnerships that drive real impact. My approach blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, always maintaining a special focus on the overall vision while attending to the details that create memorable experiences.

When I'm not crafting brand strategies, I indulge my passion for collecting fragrance bottles (there's something about the connection between scent, memory, and design that fascinates me) or reimagining personal spaces through interior design. I live by the philosophy that music is the food of life, and fashion is freedom.

Professional Background

I'm currently a Professor in Fashion Marketing and Management and Graduate Coordinator for Luxury and Brand Management at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I've spent the past 2.5 years developing next-generation talent while driving curriculum innovation and AI integration across luxury business and fashion marketing programs.

My academic work is grounded in real-world experience from seven years at PepsiCo, where I led product launches and marketing campaigns for major brands including Doritos, Lays, and Cheetos. This experience spanned both developed markets like South Africa and emerging markets across Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, and Mauritius, giving me deep insight into diverse consumer behaviors and market dynamics.

What drives me? I connect consumers to brands through compelling visual storytelling and memorable experiences. The unique bridge between corporate marketing and academic innovation gives me a dual perspective that reveals untapped opportunities and creates strategies others might overlook.

I'm passionate about the future of marketing and luxury, particularly how brands can create authentic, meaningful connections with consumers, whether through diversified selling channels, immersive storytelling and experiences, or thoughtfully integrated technology. My curiosity drives me to develop commercial strategies for sustained brand growth while honoring the human elements that build lasting relationships.

I'm especially drawn to luxury fashion, luxury tech, and luxury hospitality, where excellence, creativity, and strategy intersect to build genuine desire and brand love. Through both corporate experience and academic research, I help organizations navigate the evolving landscape of global marketing and business while preserving the personal connections that define true luxury.
